As has been said it isn't a silver bullet allowing one to eat the standard carby diet. If you try to add cinnamon I would suggest you use the Ceylon cinnamon. I sprinkle it on my single daily coffee not instead of low carb but (hopefully) as another marginal gain.Have just been reading that cinnamon has positive effect on blood sugar levels for T2 people.
Anyone any knowledge of this - I will try to include into my diet
It's always been ginger with rhubarb for me m but maybe if I remember I'll try some cinnamon next time instead... But I always add some cinnamon to my blackberry & apple mix.I like to add it to me rhubarb when cooking it, but I haven't noticed any specific impacts.
All is not lost! You can make low carb crumbles check Google for suitable recipes) and as a non-custard-lover, AFAIK it's essentially low carb anyway if you just choose an alternative sweetener instead of sugar. Finally although apples may be a bit high carb, if you use small quantities they need not necessarily be an issue.Ummm blackberry and apple crumble ..... with custard ...... and maybe a dribble (a big dribble) of double cream
think I'm loosing it.
