There are a series of videos by Dr Berg who has some odd ideas about what keto entails.. I was wondering if it was one of his that you’d got your info from. I’ve never heard the phrase clean keto ..

The bits I've seen about "dirty keto" seem to sneer at the people who eat fast food keto (ie bun-less burgers from fast food stores) etc. Exactly what I've seen Dr Westman say is a perfectly fine way to do keto if that's all you can afford. I tend to think the people who call it that have a bit of an elitist attitude IMO. Not everyone can afford grass fed beef, wild caught salmon, etc. All the food snobbery gets a bit tedious at times.

I also try to include avocado in it.

I would say you may want to eliminate, possible culprits. I worked out that macadamia nuts were fine, but if I had a mixture of nuts I could get digestive issues (probably due to the amount); when I soaked the nuts for several hours and roasted the problems went away - it was noticeable the scum at the top of the water, maybe you get a reaction from the walnuts.

So many opinions on line and so little time to figure out what’s the best. I use my meter a lot to check foods but not quite sure it’s telling the whole story. MY bloating went away when I cut out vegetables completely.. but that's just me..

I suppose 'Clean Keto' is one of those things defined by everyone differently. For me it would be eating simple, basic keto food - no additives, no fancy bits, no baked goods, no fruit, small amounts of above ground veg.

About the bloating, that's something I get and much I like my veg and dairy I am beginning to think it doesn't like me. In just 24 hrs on this fast I've lost 2.2 kgs - just under 5lbs - and my tummy is noticeably reduced (almost certainly not permanent but nice while it lasts).

I'm not sure yet - I've been thinking about normal keto on the weekends (mainly because I love a proper family roast dinner once a week) and Carnivore OMAD during the week with a fast for 4-5 days once a month. I like Carnivore but got a bit bored on it full time so maybe a mix up would work for me.

No it wasn’t him it was a lady doctor. I’ll have a look and see if I can find the link.
