hi my wife was diagnosed with diabetic 2 in 2013 , what we have noticed is that she keeps getting colds and flu allthough she has had the flu jab , my wife is aloud to take certain meds for her cold but is there anything you can suggest for her immune system , when she goes out she does wrap up and we try and keep her warm at home but she is getting cold systoms around every 2 or 3 weeks thanks

Lot of people around me suffering the same to be honest and most of them don't have diabetes.
This week I've had pharyngitis now gone and replaced with a really snotty cold.
I'm of the shcool of thought that say don't take anything whatsoever for colds ... let it run its course.
I also never have flu jabs and have only ever had flu once in over sixty years.
Thought I was dying!!!!
I may be wrong but I think taking to many industrial products lowers our immune systems in the long run.
Almost all industrial drugs and medicines are coal oil or natural gas based.
I reckon my body nine times out of ten produces better gear than that.

I back what Jack says, I'm not allowed to take any meds because of the amount of sugar in them. As obviously it would take me out of my control.

Don't need them to be honest, most are designed to make you feel better, not to get rid of the virus.

thanks for your replys , my wife has several health issues including mental health she is taking meds for this , our dr has said that she can take hot a hot lemon drink that contains paracetamol a bit like lemsip and she can have vapour rub as well , my wifes sugar levels are very good as she is on metformin once a day , and she has to take pain killers as well upto four times a day , allthough she drinks plenty she also gets bunged up and not being able to open her bowels every day , my wife usally goes onto antibotics as since she was diagnonsed with diabetic she gets chest infections , and i was woundering if there was anything that she could take to help her immune system thanks

I suffered for about 5 months with constant cold symptoms. Tell your wife to consult her GP and and see if a budesonide nasal spray is appropriate for her. Worked a treat for me.
