Just couldn't resist the mini dessert trio last night in our local restaurant. Mind you, as he uses Green and Black chocolate the outcome wasn't too disastrous. I hadn't intended to eat them, so hadn't bolused for them, but the temptation was too great!! Sugars 2 hours after 11 not so not a complete disaster. One quick correction and back to 7 by midnight. It was worth it is all I can say on the matter :)

That desert looks magnificent Riri, but is it sitting on a slate or a huge bar of dark chocolate? :)

Not had fish and chips for almost a year. I will have some at the end of April though as my wife and I will be on holiday in North Devon and know a superb chippie in Bideford. So I'm confessing in advance.

A superb chippie in Bideford???
Try the one in Appledore. You have not lived until you have eaten their chips. To Die For !!!

If it were a huge bar, the way I was eating, it I reckon I would have had no trouble polishing it off. My hubby is still laughing at this comment Sid!!

Just had my first Chinese meal in ages.
My son wanted Chinese and I thought I will try this once just to see how I react to it.

Tried to make more diabetes friendly choices
- Crispy Peking Duck (without pancakes or hoy sin sauce)
- beef in black bean sauce
- salt & pepper prawns
- hairline noodles with bean sprouts
- no rice

No idea how it would all affect my bloods.

- I was at 103mg/dl before dinner.
- Just tested at 1 hour after the meal 174mg/dl. I usually aim to be under 140mg/dl at 1 hour and under 120mg/dl at 2 hours post meals.

Have to stay up another hour to get my two hours after meal count.

In my defence, the pic makes them look bigger than they were. The profiteroles where malteser size filled with lovely fresh cream. The dense dark chocolate torte was about the size of a twix finger and the Creme brûlée was tiny ( I also donated the burnt sugar disc on top to other half). There, I feel better now ......but hungry!

I just ate a 150g bag of minstrals. I shot 11u of humalog and 2 hrs later sitting at 6.1

Impressed - don't give me ideas!!!! Lol

Yeah whatever Riri ;)

I ate 3 bags of crisps yesterday. Also had 4 crumpets. My sugars stayed fairly okay until before bed when they hit 10. Woke up on 5.4 with an icky mouth and sore gums ... Definitely blame the crumpets but they tempted me at the till with them and I have no willpower
