Hello and welcome,
A diagnosis of diabetes or per-diabetes an be an unwelcome shock. If you haven't stepped over from prediabetes to diabetes than the advice here may mean you never step over.
I'm trying to tell my children to make sure they reduce their carbs long before a diagnosis in the hope they never get there.
But even if you are still prediabetic my advice is to get a meter and reduce your carbs, My sincere belief is that we type 2s are just never able to process carbs in the same way that some people can. All the advice in relation to 'healthy' carbs just doesn't apply and pushes us towards the diagnosis.
I miss carbs and if I knew 10 years ago what I know now I may not have to go really low carb but I didn't so low carb it is.
This site is amazing and you will find all the help, advice and support you need.
