I always have a small banana,
Bananas were very cheap here in Bundaberg three years ago, I got stuck into them over period of time and it caused me a lot problems'. I was put on Metformin, but after a string of low hba1c readings I was take off them

I had a massive rise in my hba1c tp nearly 60 mmol/mol, here's a chart from that time showing the rise.

Hello and welcome,

In relation to fruit you will probably find if you test that fruit will spike your blood sugar levels. I'm a follower of very low carb but ultimately the answer is to test your levels before and after eating something so you can see what its effect on your body was. We all have differences in what we can and can't eat but the best evidence is the meter.

I have given up fruit for the moment as I'm trying to maintain lower levels and lose weight.. Once I have lost all the weight I need to lose- a long way away I may consider increase ng my carbs but I will be testing very regularly.

Good luck.
