Hey all I'm really confused I'm type 2 my diabetes specialist consultant nurse even my gp keep telling me I'm no longer diabetic and I've been target for over 1 year whatever that means I'm confused as I'm still on novorapid lantus Jardine metformin any help to settle my confusion would be grateful

Did your doctor or nurse give you an hba1c test result?
If they did and infer from those readings that your hba1c levels are now not in diabetic levels.

If so, well done!

Have they suggested anything about your meds then?

I think your team might be slightly confused.

If you're on target then that suggests your blood sugar levels are running at normal non diabetic levels (though given your medication your target levels may not be the same as for a non diabetic), so congratulations on that.

For you not to be diabetic your levels would need to be normal without the diabetic meds. Maybe you should remind your GP as to what you are taking and ask whether it needs adjustment.
