Constant Nausea/Vomiting

I am sorry you are feeling this way.
And I am surprised that you are being told diabetes is causing nausea and vomiting.
I am not medically qualified. However, my experience and research has never shown that diabetes causes these symptoms unless you have very high BG and potentially experiencing DKA which would not persist for months.
The only diabetes related possibility I can think of is that you are reacting to your insulin - some people find they have an intolerance to something in their insulin. Have you changed the type you are using?

Please mention this to your hospital diabetes nurses. They, and the endocrinologist, would need to know.
 
I agree with @In Response , I am puzzled as to why this is caused by your diabetes. Definitely something to ask your clinic about. Probably a silly thought, but what are your ketone levels like? Moderate ketone levels can make me feel a bit nauseous.
 
Ketones levels are fine, I was referred to hospital for the nausea/Vomiting but they also said it's diabetes related. I've been trying to get my next diabetic consultant appointment bought forward but have had no luck.

How long have you been Type 1 for, do you think you may have gastroparesis which is what the GP is possibly thinking hence the due to diabetes? I hope you get answers soon and you start feeling better.

I am in exactly the same boat as you. Not only the constant nausea but regularly vomiting.
I am type 2 insulin dependent. I have been on cyclizine & metoclopramide and also Omeprazole for almost 2 years. I had a gastroscopy done 7 weeks ago & they have now (doubled) increased my omeprazole dose & also my gliclazide. I'm having another gastroscopy on the 13th June so that they can check to see if there's been any improvement in what they found previously. Like you. I just really want answers. Surely not everything I have going on can be put down to my diabetes.
 
I wonder if it is related to your pancreas? When I was diagnosed with type 1 at Xmas, I was told I had pancreatitis and have to take Creon with food now. Stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting can be signs of that. Worth asking about. Hope you feel better soon

My hba1c levels have improved and i have been experiencing this especially in the mornings when i first wake up. I tend to drink water and snack and it eventually goes away but it is reoccuring.
 
I've just been to the GP this morning because I've had a cold but this week came about dizziness and nausea. The GP reckons it's something to do with my inner ear. However I've had it twice before so I came home and googled a little LOL

An interesting link it sounds like diabetes and ear problems are common. There's even something that's called diabetic ear! Might be worth an ask to GP or diabetes hospital team to see if you have an ear problem?

Hope you can get help because nausea and dizziness constantly is not fun
 
My husband has had the same for over a year. Night sweats occasionally then waking up feeling nauseous. So bad that it stops him doing anything for the whole morning. Drs and nurse say diabetic related however we were not convinced. We narrowed it down to the water tablets (furosemide) causing the nausea but they wont offer any solution to help him
