I am with a hospital in Wales and according to the rep and DSN we are the only PCT that makes you collect consumables for the Accuchek pumps from the hospital, they are not delivered directly to the patients. My questions:
1) Does anybody else have to collect their consumables from the hospital DSN?
2) I have to travel 25 miles there and 25 miles back, and although not working at the moment, when I return to work this is going to be wholly inconvenient...... AS I am not working at present, or getting any other income at all (ESA, Jobseekers, SSP etc), it is also an extra expense travelling to collect the consumables........how many months worth of consumables do you think the DSN should supply to me?
3) Would it be worthwhile writing to the PCT and asking them if I could have my consumables delivered to my home?
Any advice gratefully received......need to talk to Pump DSN on Monday 20th Sept about this matter....
