I take a daily basal dose (Lantus) every morning around 8am. I am going to Australia for a couple of months this winter and am wondering how to manage the time-shift (+9 hours). My DSN suggested keeping it at 0800 GMT, i.e. 5 pm Australian time. I'm not keen on that because (a) it's an inconvenient time of day and (b) it will alter my rapid insulin:carb ratios.
Has anyone dealt with this problem and come up with a workable solution?
