Anyone tried corn meal?

I was given a bag by a friend, and tried a corn meal bread recipe I found
Made a decent cake type loaf, and didn't seem to give me a spike.

I have found corn seems ok for shop bought wraps as well, so I need to make some of those next.

No douglas, I haven't tried it, tho' I have no doubt it'll be delicious if you spread plenty of butter on it....or some dripping  :bag:

Whereas I can still use a nice piece of corn bread, without any spike.

That's fine....for you. Over the years I've probably tried most diets, lost weight on them all but couldn't sustain any of them because they made me feel miserable, cold and constantly hungry. Eating LCHF totally satisfies me. I have no urge to eat any other way. I don't even get the urge to sublimate my need for sweets, biscuits, crisps etc, or make posts on here, when I'm doing Paper work :p I am in control and I like it!

You certainly feel the need to post now though.
So I guess your control isn't that good?

Not really, I like, and can eat corn meal, and corn bread, maybe because I eat low GI not low carb.
I don't feel over excited about it, it's just a fact of a low GI diet.

If you can't eat it after a while on a low carb diet, that's just a fact of a low carb diet.

We're all different, and all have our own way of getting control of our bloods.

I used to enjoy all types of bread not realising it was causing me problems, nothing to do with low carb. I simply don't crave it now and to me that feeling, or lack of, is still weird..... anyway, off topic now, so apologies ;)

l would kill for some sadza but figured would spike me to next yr. However l may get a small bag at the braai in a few months ... maybe not all hope lost for a bit of a treat :-)

Reading douglas' and beachbag's exchange, I am reminded of a scene from nine and a half weeks.
