Hi. I was diagnosed at the start of Feb with a hba reading of 6.8, but was not put on meds. Another blood test at the end of April.
I've read the research and positive stories and so plan on losing loads of weight in time for my next test. I was 19st7lbs then, so got plenty to lose.
Anyway, on speaking to the doctor again for another reason, I asked about what would happen after the next blood test and he said that once I am.diabetic, I am diabetic. There is no going back, even if my hba17 reading is normal. The best I'll ever get is "Diabetic-controlled with diet".
Is this correct? Can I ever become non diabetic again?
I'm on the low carb program and so eating much better, but would much rather not have the Diagnosis on my records if possible.
