Cured.

Hmmmm I don't smoke anymore, but I AM a diabetic. Football is the way forward.
We all follow the West Ham over land and sea, we all follow the West Ham ON TO VICTORY all together now........

I just had my 4th HbA1c. It has dropped from 67 to 38 in under 4 months. He said that by their testing standards I am not diabetic and seem to be cured.
I will continue with my new eating style as I know that is what gives me the low result.

Brilliant, congratulations, and I'm sure that is the sort of message that many of us are hoping to see, a bit of personal confirmation that the wealth of information on the internet which says that results like this are achievable by dietary means are valid and have a factual basis.

e.g.

If I knew a "cure" for diabetes, I would tell the world for free, not flog it for £1.49 a pop.

Cured like a joint of bacon may be ;)

Oh I just worked out how your cured yourself - you have been following the masturbation thread - is that 1000 you owe everyone now

Andy, you are surely too modest here - I would happily pay you even more :) - Even the thought of homemade french fries and chips will make me teary-eyed ...

Hi congrats, within 4 months well done. Do you follow LCHF or or normal diet now? If so do you control the portion sizes? If you were to eat a doughnut will your BS level shoot to abnormal levels?
According to prof Taylor T2 can be reversed but I think most of us prefer to say 'well controlled', If you were to eat that sugary doughnut and stay within normal ranges why can't we say you are cured? (not arguing here just a positive thought)

More lcmf. smallish portions very few snacks. Wouldn't dream of eating a doughnut.
I will look them up though.

If you can get a few non diabetics to eat a doughnut and check there BG I will try it too. might be worthwhile. I would have it as a meal though.

i think to call it a cure you would have to be able to eat 5 doughnuts every day without getting diabetic numbers, the whole cure thing is dangerous imho
