Cured.

Was it a normal burger or a chippy one that had been deep fried in batter? I ask in the name of science.

how would it if he went for a run it might but relaxing like most people do after a meal wouldnt

Sorry, I thought you meant chill and not test. Have re-read your post now and understand what you mean.

8.1 Still very diabetic I think.
No it doesn't mean this at all.... You aren't used to carbs so you will spike... Read my thread about increasing carb levels where I have been experimenting. Oh by the way nothing wrong with 8.1 as a spike and the fat in the burger slows down the spike so it isnt at 1 hour. The one hour/two hour timings only seem to work on high GL carbs without soluble fats. For example when I eat pie and chips I find it is a peak between 2 and 3 hours.

2 hours 6.5.
Worse than usual but far from bad
Yes but its the same as I got when I was first diagnosed.

Yes I noticed when i eat fat and protein BS levels are rises 2-3 hours. Also quantity matters. And also how you introduce it. i.e as a part of a meal or on its own. Interesting experiments.
I would not want to go back to high carb diet I used to before diagnosis after all learning so much facts about food and digestive system. I will not miss fruit juices or puddings but very keen to try everyday carbs in small portions. (bread, pasta, pizza and also a burger etc) and also glass or two red wine, Going out next Saturday so try out a glass of red wine keeping carb level to a minimum.
