High and low sugar levels!
What are peoples experience with eating dates.
Absorption rates?
Approx grams per date (I know impossible question)

Its just they seem to hit me 2 or 3 hours after and I go raging high!

dried fruit such as dates are notorious for raising blood glucose levels, which includes raisins, sultanas, it is something to do with the drying out and concentration of sugars.
berries are better, and the likes of small apples, leads are better for you!
fruit juice are another one to avoid!

I was surprised by dates. They are very sweet but also contain a lot of fibre so did not raise my levels by as much as the insulin I gave myself.

Quite slow slow acting then?
I was trying them for a quick suger blast, nothing happened so I ate more!
Not again.

Tbh I would only eat dates if running long distance so more than 10 miles as they keep my levels up, otherwise I wouldn’t risk it, even grapes are little sugar bombs, my fruit choices now are the odd apple, blueberries and strawberries.

Australian dates are nearly pure sugar at 67.2 grams per hundred grams, they are worse than bananas for me.

A serving of 30 grams is 20 grams.

Is sugar different in different types of dates? I wanted to know how many dates diabetics can eat a day and I did a Google search. on this site it is said: Date sugar: 4.5 grams

How is it possible that dates have 20 grams of sugar? Is it artificial dates?

The store I linked to has the correct info, it is what I make my choice of food on as we do the majority of our food shopping there.

Australian dates originated from Afghanistan, when the Afghan camel traders came to Australia in the 1800's, the date palms grew where they stopped to eat and spat the pips out on to the ground.

No artificial stuff here.
