I pumped superbly for 5 years. Best thing going. I loved my pump.

Then all of a sudden by March 2015 I was having huge problems with levels and occlusions... had fantastic relationship with Accuchek. Had 2 of their pumps. They nor me could work out cause. Along with consultant agreement stopped May 2015.

Cancer diagnosed Sept 2015. Now this really un nerves me....

All sets fail.. every single type. I tried twice to go back to Accuchek and once on a 640g. All failed but realised it was my skin.

I am thin. No fat. People say to me but children have pumps and there are tjin adults on them.... which really makes me think is this cancer related... I don't know of any other person having a pump with full blown cancer diagnosed whilst using the pump...

The sites.. my stomach was not used except in sort of emergencies when I couldn't get to bum, legs or arms. So not over used at all. If any where should work it should have been there. Nope.
I am absolutely worn out from 4am jabs as I very rarely get back to sleep. We dont sleep till 1am either cos hubby works late shifts...

I hope you get a pump. You would find it brilliant for DP or waking. My trouble is as soon as I stand up in morning after waking. I inject at 8am to get up at 9am.

Trouble is the 4am insulin is tailing off by 7am so by 9am levels have raised because otherwise I would have to also inject at 6am and that really is OTT!!

I really do feel for you, you've had a tough time. Most of what you've mentioned just now I've already read on previous threads - I never said anything because I wasn't involved in the discussions. Now I am, I'll tell you that - from the bottom of my heart - I hope you get some relief from what you're currently experiencing.

So wish that insulin mdi could work for DP and waking!! Thats all I would like to see!!

My life would be so much better without the 4am and 8am injectjons!

I really do not like the thought of others struggling with DP or WP.

Just wishing that a magic fairy would come along to help with better insulin for some of us... nobody has an easy life, these things just sent to try a few people a bit more! Lol!!

By way.. with injecting at 4am and 8am (an hour before getting up) this is now my results.. today was slightly low as I still had the dregs of a correction bolus at midnight....

This for me is what I tey to achieve. Even on mdi.... I know that DP can be controlled but I really do not like the routine involved to achieve it..

That is a reminder of bad days. Yikes. I tried everything to combat mine but in the end it was only the pump that could tackle it. Mine was so bad and such a trigger to other problems that I was signed unfit to work for nearly 2 years waiting on my pump. I still get some days where it beats the pump but for the most part I wake up in target or just below. So good to wake up not feeling sick! I hope you get relief soon!

Crikey.. a 2 year wait!! Blimey.... perhaps my hospital ought to take my pump back yo use as a loan rental one for people to try!! Its just a shame that despite wanting the ease of the pump for DP my body is rejecting.so my excellemt pump is sat in my wardrobe. Such a shame when people like yourself are dtill experiencing two years wait!! Absolutely startled that this still happens...
