Welcome: this Forum is a great resource and support, particularly on a bad day
Re the grapes: All fruit needs to be treated with circumspection, because it has lots of sugar, and grapes seem to be particular offenders in this regard. However, what I would say is to see how they affect you, and what they do to your blood/glucose levels (I think it's fairly certain they will do something). We all have a different metabolism and differing extents to which we can process sugar, so it may be that what constitutes spike-on-a-plate for one person is merely a minor upsurge for another. Try a small serving - maybe half a dozen or so - and if they don't affect you, try a few more next time. If they do affect you badly, at least you will know.
I love grapes but they do seem to stick my levels up in relatively modest quantities, so I just have a few, from time to time, as a treat, often with a bit of cheese, because the fat content slows things down. I have a bit of a dilemma with fruit generally, because I think it's sensible to have some as a regular part of your diet and so I have a couple of "portions" a day - usually either a small citrus like a Satsuma, or half an apple. That seems to work for me and, although it's relatively early days, I have been able to bring my Hba1c down a great deal in the 9 months since I was diagnosed.
As already mentioned, my view is that grapes are much better consumed (in moderation) in post-fermentation, bottled format
