I had a pig of a day yesterday,I couldn't get anything right and I got really frustrated. After sitting and reviewing my Cgm results I made some adjustments to my basal rates,I had a good nights results and today is going really well.Life is good again until the next time. The other good thing that I am pleased with no massive hypo's which I would not recognise due to no hypo awareness and my wife said it's the best nights sleep she has had in 4 years.

Pretty sure everyone has days like this @yingtong, don't let yesterday get you down as your doing great so far :)

Sometimes if pigs of days are experienced and levels are even a tad higher all day then a set change can be better than jumping in and altering basals.
Don't know what a pig of a day involved though with you..

donnelllysdog, you are right as usual,I've been running a little higher than I like too,so was planning some adjustments but it went a little haywire yesterday.I really wasn't thinking properly and I was running before I can walk but back on track now, patience is definitely a virtue.

Yes noblehead you are right, hopefully back on track today.Maybe I needed a day like yesterday as maybe thing have been going to well and I needed a jolt.

Great you are getting things under control. I started pumping last week and what worked for the weekend, definitely doesn't work for days I go to work. Literally, Ive spent whole day in and out of hypos today and I feel so exhausted now. I think I need two separate basal profiles for weekdays and weekends

More than likely...

A brilliant day today almost a level profile, but tomorrow is another day and I'm sure there will be many more challenges, saying all this I'll probably have a massive Hypo tonight.

Glad it is going well @yingtong and I hope you don't go near hypo territory. Days when it all just works as it should are such a boost :)

I am so impressed with the Smartguard although I think my basal is still a bit too high as it has been cutting in about 3-4 times per day/night.

I hope your good run continues uninterrupted.

Thanks for the updates :) I'm glad it's going so well for you, blips aside :)

I agree with DD. Set change before anything. Only if the problem persists after a set change do you want to think about making a change to your pump settings.

Thanks Spiker it wasn't a set problem,it was operator error and plus I was running a little high from day1,which I wanted to correct and it seems to have worked.

Another really good day B/S between 5 and 6 ,but I bet I have many more hurdles to jump over, but Diabetes has always been a challenge.

Thanks Yingtong. Yes I think im getting there. Lots of basal testing, but I can already say, I feel so much better with stable levels. Both mentally and physically. Hope you feel the same :)

Basal testing today to confirm my basal settings,I started last night and finish at lunch time today,I will be interested what the CGM shows.

That's great eweline long may it continue, yes basal testing is a bit of a pain, but a must.Good luck.

Fingers crossed for a smoother and a less bumpy weekend. I sincerely ope it will continue to go well for you. With diabetes, there will always be odd blips

All the best yingtong :)
