Hava is a different approach, it’s nothing like Carb Manager.
I actually spoke to Andreas regarding my Type 2 and the fact I’d been on Low Carb for 12 years, he advised me to keep a track on my Carbs, as after having Diabetes for so long, my pancreas may or may not now, be able to handle a Carb increase.
The Satiety Score is a Satiety to Calorie value and you’d be surprised at the scores of some things that you thought were filling
I’ve been using the app for a week or so now and find it very good, bit pricey but, once you get a feel for the foods and know what you can eat, then using it as a free logging app would be fine.
Main thing I like is, the AI feature, where you can type a question about a certain food item and you’ll get an answer and the offer of having a recipe for that item, the info you get is very good.
Up to now I haven’t had any bad BS experiences and have, in fact, lost a couple more pounds in weight, also i am able to have meals that suit both me and the wife, so don’t need to prep 2 different meals.
It does require a modicum of planning and tweaking of foods, obviously you can’t go and stuff a whole Cornish Pasty down (well you can but you won’t hit your Satiety Target and your BS would probably suffer)
I suppose it’s more of a weight loss app and less of a Diabetic one but, type into the AI Chicken Recipe for Diabetic or Low Carb Recipes and up they’ll pop.
I’ll see where I am in a month or two and Dr Eenfeldt has asked me to report back to him too.
