Dealing with Covid

Sorry you are still feeling rough but other than keeping an eye on fluids (is your pee pale?) and blood sugars there isn't much you can do but ride this out and seek medical help if you start to struggle with breathing for example. It may be that diabetics take a bit longer to clear the infection.
Not being as hungry is just a normal response to being less active and not being able to smell so well I suppose so just make sure that when you eat it is nutritious stuff (eggs, fish , meat, yoghurt).
Didn't impact me much when I had it so I hope there will be some different opinions on here soon for you to compare notes with!

I've just got over it - got a clear LFT on Friday last week. Not many symptoms but so so tired...... and that's lingered into this week. Starting to feel better now, but not being hungry I suspect is quite normal.. Get well soon.

There is no way you have covid!
the government and more importantly Boris, has stated in the commons, that we are through covid, and it's done!
As with brexit, let's get on with everything else that is more important!

I seem to have survived three goes around with Covid - when I felt like going to or staying in bed, I did which seemed to be the best thing to do. I then rose at the crack of noon feeling that I could face a few hours downstairs, but when I felt tired I went back to bed again.
The taste alteration was weird - I found that my usual yoghurt tasted like beef stew....

My mom, sister, wife and daughter have all had it, with varying amounts of symptoms. My mom and sister both had prolaxid or what ever that anti virus thing is called, they were able to get through it in about a week. My wife got hit pretty hard, triggered thyroid issues,

what’s interesting to me, is I took care of all of them and didn’t get it.

I think it’s important to stay hydrated and keep your micro nutrient intake up. Especially zinc and vitamin D. So, if you’re not eating well, you should at least take a multi. I think it’s too late to investigate the anti viral, but maybe….?..,,

I had it a few months ago - its effects are different for everyone - I felt lousy for a week and delicate for another three, and my senses of taste and smell took about another 3 weeks to return. Everything tasted/smelt foul, which was brilliant as far as I was concerned, as my weight loss had plateaued and it kickstarted that again (the last stone is the hardest). I did make sure I stayed hydrated even though everything tasted like seawater.

I’ve just recently had covid. I only tested because both my kids said I had it, 1of my kids tested positive so I thought I’d do a test to prove them wrong that it’s only a cold I have and I was very surprised when it was positive. It was nothing more than a cold for me although I have lost smell/taste which is slowly returning and I’m a bit breathless too.

I am 4 weeks on from getting Covid and fingers crossed last night was the first night without the cough. I felt bad for about 10 days, couldn’t eat for five whole days, nauseous, bad taste in mouth. Just relied on tea and water. There is a cough linctus called Robitussin Chesty Cough Sugar Free which is suitable for diabetics and didnt raise my BG. If you buy it be careful they give you the correct version as my OH was palmed off with a different version first time. I am nearly finished my second bottle but yesterday it started to kick in, guess my body was ready at last. The active ingredient is Guaifenesin. Might be a pill version dont know. Covid is random because my asthmatic OH sailed through with just 4 days of tiredness. This time neither of us had a temperature.
