I’ve started getting a reaction to my Dexcom, the last 3 I’ve had to remove early due to itching. The customer services team have suggested using a barrier spray or cream, is there one people would recommend? I’ve used trio Elisse in the past but never found it made much difference.

Thanks

I've been using cavilon cream before I apply the sensor. It works for me, so far anyway.

I have used cavil on but I found the spray better than the cream.
I found the cream greasy so the sensor would not stick to it.
With the spray, as long as I waited for it to dry, it was ok.

I have also used SkinTac as a barrier but stop using it as it comes in individual packages and I did like all the waste.

When you apply it, do you leave a space for the sensor?
No, I just rub in the cream on the area where I'm going to stick the sensor.

I haven't had any problems with the sensor sticking where I've applied the cream. I haven't tried the spray (not stocked by my pharmacy)

Have you tried using liftplus to remove it, its available on prescription.
