Acceptance of health treatment claims that are not adequately supported by evidence. I dislike it when people sell ineffective and even harmful alternative health products to exploit the desperation of people with chronic illness.
Aw, thank you for saying that, it's really nice. I could tell you were freaking out, and I have been through times like this myself. Getting a serious diagnosis or being suddenly close to one, is very stressful.

Well my son who is 14months hasn't always been the healthiest. Actually the most sickly of my children. The last few weeks he has been crying nonstop. At first I read that it could be a defiant stage. So I tried to work through it. Then came the crazy sleep pattern. Toss and turn and crying at night. Taking multiple naps during the day. He also isCrying and grabbing at diaper. Hungry all the time. Awkward smell to breath. The last few days he has thrown up just a little maybe 3 times. Yesterday and today screaming awful painful cry untill I give him a drink that he chugs and chugs. Has not had as frequent of bowel movements all the sudden as well.

You need to get the child to a Dr and have them look at him, don't put this off and do it this morning.

Yes, I think always having a feeling like something was going on with him contributed to my freak out as well. He is my baby and to even think of him suffering is heart wrenching. What I said is true. No matter the outcome I am grateful for all you've done. I will make sure and let you know as soon as possible.

It's no wonder you didn't realise initially that he was developing diabetes symptoms, because type 1 diabetes is not a very common or well known condition, and most parents of toddlers would not know the signs. We know the signs because we are used to the condition and reading about people's stories. You did the best you could and it's not your fault that things are where they are at now. You went looking for information and that is to be commended.

Looking for anyone with I info on early onset diabetes and symptoms

Hi, my granddaughter was diagnosed at 2 1/2 with type 1. She was tired, grumpy, irritable, but being 2 1/2 it could of been the terrible two's. Also infection in small children can cause the child to go down more quickly than it would in adult. Always best to get a poorly young child to your GP, ASAP.
Good luck, I hope all goes well. Take care RRB

Everything I was reading individually had a different reason behind it that was supposedly normal. It wasn't until yesterday and today I had a symptom come up that screamed diabetes (the terrible screaming for drinks and throwing up) I have been feeling there was a problem for a while but even with the ear infection that would not heal the doc told me it happens a lot and it probably wouldn't heal till the tube was placed and air got back there. The mood swings the last few weeks googled on their own show a normal milestone where toddlers start testing their boundaries. Read multiple mothers stories about babies fussing all through the night suddenly who were also glad to hear it was just a phase. I thought he was sleeping a lot during the day but since he was up a night I chalked it up to normal. It's crazy how quickly I feel like this came on but not till now can I see the symptoms go pretty far back.

How's your son, @ZanMan5 ?

I hope he's ok and you've had an answer from the doctors as to what's wrong with him and whether it is diabetes.

I'm guessing no news is good news, since ZanMan5 told me she was getting ready to take him to a doctor about 7 hours ago. If he tested positive for high BG then I imagine they are keeping him in hospital to stabilise him. I am looking forward to hearing how he is doing.

Yes, they'd be able to test his blood sugar very quickly and get an answer.

I hope @ZanMan5 updates us on what's happening whether her little boy has diabetes or not.
