Diabetes UK - Local Groups

I've attended a DUK meeting in Reading, which i found a drag and lots of people eating biscuits. I did however join IanD at his local group meeting and that was good! First rate speaker

Would be a good idea maybe if anyone who knows o or runs any local groups could add their details somewhere on the forum. I for one am unaware if there is one near me and I'm sure many others will feel the same. I would not know where to look to find out either unless there was a poster in Dr's surgery.

Hi Nomistheman .

Noticed your location is Rochdale [under your avatar]

Here is a support group that is in the northwest Lancashire .
That may be of interest for you ... :?:

We welcome all - nondiabetics as well as the obvious diabetics .

Mo1905- Details of any support or similar groups can be located , here in the forums
diabetes events/fundraising .

Hope this can help .

Anna .

Just had a browse and although there are a few there, they are very haphazard and it seems very time consuming to trawl through every post trying to locate a local event. I don't know if it could be done but a single page with details of all local groups or events or meeting places for those who need nearby support or can offer help or support would be good.

I report regularly on the Hounslow cardio/DIabetes support group. (West London)

Just search Hounslow - its a useful group with a variety of topics - usually 2 speakers, updates, & questions.

Last Tuesday each month.
