Diabetic nurse appointment

Hi all, I've just got back from my 3rd appointment. The nurse said that I don't need to see her again for 3 months.
I thought it was meant to be regular appointment, like every week or every other week.
I'm still new to diabetes.

If you’re in the U.K. three monthly appts are to be expected initially. As things stabilise it will stretch out to six months, then yearly for a full review with six monthly HbA1cs.

What are you needing guidance for from the diabetic nurse that you would like to see her more regularly?
Maybe the forum members can help.

Hi @Luvly

welcome to the club no one wants to join ;):)

Hard news to hear, but you'll find loads of help and information on here.

If I'm honest my DN are nice but seem to be in a rut of Eatwell, once asked questions.
LCHF seems frowned upon, so i just nod along.

the check ups are nice, feet and eye checks
but in all other aspects i found more info on here then in surgery.

@Hotpepper20000 , nails the ethos here.

Asks questions, i did,

many on here more then happy to help out.
only stupid question is the one you DON'T ask ;)
(trust me, i asked some doozies )

good luck on your journey.
