Diabetics R Us

When we moved into our current property we took all of the wall paper off - several years worth which had been added to over time and painted the walls - a lot easier.

Many years ago we got our first home and found there to be seven layers of wallpapaer on the walls some of them were the washable type. No steam strippers back then so it took about two weeks just to do the prep.
It's so quick and easy these days and some of today's paper is so good it gets off the roll and crawls up the wall by itself!

Good morning everyone. My thought of the day today is that there's only another month or so of winter left and we might just have another glorious summer!

Nice thought. The millions of snowdrops that have appeared in my garden, planted by previous owners, have warmed my heart. They were a complete surprise.

Couldn't agree more, and can be changed so easily when you are fed up with the colours.

Our new house has lining paper on all the walls, painted.

The snowdrops remind me that the snake's head fritillaries will pop up soon-ish, another of my favourites as long as I can keep the lilly bugs off!

Wish I could sleep if the tinnitus would just shut the Hull up.

3.30 in the morning and wide awake ridiculous.

I would go down stairs and have a coffee but would mess up fbg in the morning.

Do you have an electric fan or something you can turn on to tune the tinnitus out? I've heard that can help but I don't know ...

If it were me I would probably get up and have the coffee or something. Not recommending it, mind, just saying I probably would do that. I am more than just FBG and sometimes I feel I have to cater to the other aspects of me.

I wish I could give you some of my sleepiness, I have been sleepy, and napping, all day. Hopefully it's just boredom and having the heat turned on. And hopefully by the time I have read your post and started typing this response you have managed to get to sleep. :)

When it's as bad as that nothing drowns it out it's been a constant with me since I left the air force in about 1981 and it's due to direct damage to the auditory nerves sometimes though especially in the night it can become close to unbearable. Any way thanks for your sympathetic post I eventually went back to bed at about 4.30 AM and dozed for a couple of hours

Resisted the urge for coffee though.

Morning all

I was in bed before 8 last night, absolutely shattered but I was up at 3.45 as a consequence
Busy day at work yesterday, one of the sales girls was off sick so I did a lot of phone answering. Hope I'm not as busy today.

@JohnEGreen I hope the tinnitus subsided.

Have a good day.

H :)

@heh thanks yes it was less intense last night or my ability to tune it out was a bit better either way I managed some sleep.

Being bilateral both sides it can be a bit of a B***G*R though doctor once told me I could go totally deaf but tinnitus would still be there mind you that was just after I had told him I was contemplating stabbing myself in the ears with a pencil.
