Diabetics R Us

Morning all. Well I'm having a 'sicky' today as my nose is streaming and I can't stop coughing. Hope you all feel better than I do. I do have some computer work to be getting on with, once I've had a nap!

Morning friends! I won’t bore you with the details of my insulin stacking and the pros and cons of subcutaneous v intramuscular injections to try and bring down my hideous levels yesterday, but I was up at 0430 trying to deal with a 12mmol...

Waiting for the delivery of my MiaoMiao transmitter to go with my Libre sensor so I can just read my BG level on my watch. Really excited, the next step to going full cyborg :borg:

Oh Mel.
Snap with a 12. Mine is reoccuring, it's as if basal not working but must be otherwise it would be a higher fbg. A 3.2 through the night has exhausted me.... but feeling much better now I've had my bacon.

Had a worrying tel call. 11yr old needs his full blood count checking again in a month. Anyone know why that could be, he isn't diabetic?

It could be anything. Perhaps phone the surgery and ask?

Full blood counts measure the white and red blood cells and the various parts within those cells.

Sounds really exciting for you! Please try to retain some human traits though.....

I am all on edge today. Firstly, I had my bloods taken Friday morning and keep waiting for them to appear on-line. Normally this is within 24 hours, but with it being a weekend they should appear today. But not as yet. Secondly we are waiting for confirmation we can sign the contracts for our house sale and purchase. This has been a long time coming. (2 years in fact) and nerves are jingle jangling. Weirdly, none of this Adrenalin is affecting my meter readings. Yet. :arghh:

I've given up on mine been on-line. I just ask for print out now. Altho if I wasn't at Dr's at least once a month then I would have to rely on-line only.
I'm on edge about 11yr old and how his day back to small school went. He was tired and needed calpol still this morning. So I've called school to ask his teacher to keep an eye on him.
