Diabetics R Us

if you live in Oz they are chucks.
Are both the hens and the seemingly offensive starry cocks chucks or only the hens?
I just call them chucky hens.
If you call the female chickens this, isn't that a pleonasm?

Hahahahahahahaa, I need to get a second ****, computer doesn't find 2 cocks offensive!

I had to look pleonasm up! I'm still not entirely sure what it means. :D

I had to change **** to cockerel

Having a bit of an off evening. Just had a go at DD cos her bedroom's a mess and its annoying me and I've just had a go at both OH & DD over the fair distribution of work in our household (there is no fair distribution of work). I thought about my morning; I got up at 5am, put the washing on, made the lunches, emptied the dishwasher, loaded what needed to go into the dishwasher, washed bits that won't go in the dishwasher & hung the washing out all while I had breakfast, got showered and ready to go to work. We all work full time but because I am last out of the house it gets left to me. I got home from work to find OH sitting watching a film, he then jumped up & got the washing in, but he left it in the basket so I sorted & folded it. DD gets home last and always walks in to tea well under way and has it put in front of her. I lost it , now feeling a bit teary :meh:.

And breathe, I do feel better for getting that off my chest. Thanks for listening :)

Anyone else want a moan? :D

A good old moan can make you feel better

I had to change **** to cockerel
And then you wrote cockerels (more than one), where cocks would have been accepted :P

Could very well be the word isn't used in English much, I looked it up for the translation. I'm still not sure what gender the chucks and the chucky hens are, though. Help me out!

@Antje77 It is chicken if there is 1, and chickens if there are more than 1. Although strictly speaking they are hens and cockerels, depending on gender. But if you live in Oz they are chucks. I just call them chucky hens.

I just call them dinner.

That reminds me, chucky eggs and ducky eggs all in a cup. I know what I'm having for breakfast in the morning.

Pleonasm really just means repetitiveness in a sentence that is saying the same thing in different words in one sentence

Evening all

Got home from work to find OH doing some ironing :), I have done some more this evening.
We have also been for a walk down the the river (Stour) which is about 200m from our house as one of the moored boats has sunk and the Environment Agency & coastguard are down there trying to sort it out
