....and that was a slightly smaller scream (but not much). Went to bed still on 8.7 and FBG 8.4 so at least it came down I thought.
Did the school run around and pre breakfast is 10.9. OK be positive. Not as bad as yesterday but still not good. It did come down to 6.5 yesterday so hopefully it will come down quicker today. I am really beginning to despair and am still trying to work out how a prawn salad increased me from 6.5 to 8.7 anyway.
I think so too. @maglil55 maybe you should keep a food/stress/ BG log book to see if your stress is affecting your BG.I really do believe that your rises in blood glucose are less about the food and more about stress reactions and liver dumps.
I log all my food on MFP. Since November everything that I have eaten or drunk is logged there. How do you keep a stress log? Mostly I am pretty laid back and I didn't feel particularly stressed until a couple of days ago when that flamin woman started again. My problem with that is it is a situation where I have no control and I'm stressed because I know how horrible anď divisive it was last time and the arguments started within hours of her starting.I think so too. @maglil55 maybe you should keep a food/stress/ BG log book to see if your stress is affecting your BG.
I know it does mine - I had to have my annual diabetes and kidney function blood test this morning (I hate needles) and I had a restless night and woke up feeling panicky this morning and my FBG was 8.4. I had breakfast, went to see the vampire, came back and my BG was down to 5.8.
@Brunneria I agree with what you say but I haven't got the 'bits' that suffer with PCOS any more - so surely it should have stopped?
I agree that weight shouldn't be the focus of my way of eating - I'm definitely more concerned about insulin resistance and BG. It's just that for a couple of wonderful weeks in February 2016 (after doing BSD for six weeks) I got below my PFT. I was getting FBGs of about 4.5 to 5 and going no higher than 6.5 after meals. Then I stopped being able to walk everywhere (or, at one point, even move) and my weight and, consequently, BG went up. I can't do anything about being able to walk and even on DD my weight increased as did my BG (except for one day). My BG seems to go up and down with my weight so I can't see any way forward except to reduce calories while still eating VLC.
Katie Hopkins article yesterday made me laugh when she referred to her as GDFTN - took me a while but it was ginger dwarf fae the north. Not often I can laugh at Katie Hopkins. It is so depressing though especially when you see comments in the English papers about gettinģ rìd of us. People need to realise we are not all the same. But it just gets so nasty.I once had to keep a stress log. It was my perception of stress so a score of 1 was totally relaxed up to 10 which was ultimate stress level. It was for a completely different reason but it helped me see that there was a pattern in my stress which meant I could mostly predict when it was going to happen and why - and I could diffuse the situation before my stress levels got high or, at the very least, be prepared for it. It did help with reducing my stress levels and it would be helpful for you to know if your stress levels and BG are connected. I wish I'd thought of it at the time for myself.
I'm not sure how it would help you with that woman, though. I did see a funny picture last night which I meant to send you but I can't find it now - it was a hot air hand dryer with her name written on it.

I honestly don't know. Support is high among the youngsters but that isn't the case with the older voters. I'm hoping people go on signing that petition which will hopefully make her think again but I doubt it. No one seriously thought Trump could win either!Do you think she will get the result she wants next time (if there is a next time)?
Maybe I should give that a tryIt's strange. I've had a bad day in several respects - two lots of very bad news and a problem at the doctor's surgery - and ended up feeling completely down in the dumps so I reverted to 'comfort eating' not that we've got any real carby comfort food in the house - but I munched on what I had - cheese, G&B 85%, pack of walnuts raspberries and cream and a toasted Lidl roll with peanut butter. Two hours later.... 4.8. Huh?
Do you think she will get the result she wants next time (if there is a next time)?
Correct - we call her a lot worse. If not she'll have another and another until she gets the result she wants (I assume we are talking about McFishwife as she is referred to in our household)

I thought about that. I know my extreme feelings about GDFTN are irrational so I'm trying to avoid news as well! I did test this morning and It's better at 8.5. I'm wondering if the bug was having a final cycle as I've been very hot the last few nights? I was certainly happier when my BG came down after dinner and stayed down. So it was bed on 7.7 and FBG 8.5 which is still not great but better than its been. How are you feeling today?Food-wise I'm back on track after yesterday's (unsuccessful) binge. FBG this morning was 6.3. I don't know if it is lower than usual due to the binge or because I didn't sleep very well.
@maglil55 It sounds like your stressing over the high numbers is causing the high numbers. Of course, you are stressing about GDFTN but there's nothing you can do about her. So why not put away your monitor for a couple of days and eat the kind of foods you know shouldn't raise your BG then get your husband to randomly choose when you should test for a couple of days after that.
You could also be talking about GDFTN and her more rabid followers. A lot of people find Trump scary but she's the same and like him gets away with it. During the EU vote a lot of my friends in the South were talking about how things had become very nasty and I said at the time I could have told them that as the nastiness here had been dreadful. Really vile abuse if you didn't agree. I think that's what upsets me most that it is starting again.Nope, no one thought that Trump would win. I still find it very scary that he's POTUS. Does anyone else find all his tweets on Twitter just a bit peculiar. And the child-like way he disparages anyone who criticizes or disagrees with him.....
As for the that woman known in this house as The Fish (and IS she related to Little Jimmy Krankie because the likeness is amazing) - she's not listening to the voters which is always worrying in a politician.
I guess I was lucky - in the EU referendum everyone in this area voted the same way as me (which doesn't normally happen). You could also be talking about GDFTN and her more rabid followers.
