I'm self employed and my accountant tells me that "Medically necessary items" that are needed to enable me to function and work are 100% tax deductible. So if anyone has to buy anything to assist in the management of their diabetes do a self assessment tax return, include the receipts and you get that amount knocked off of your tax liability.
I'm lucky, my accountant does it all for me as I have loads of business expenses involved in running a company. All I do is give him the receipts
