I called my DSN earlier to update her on my last week's BG levels following her advice to only leave 8 hours between my Levemir injections...
A different DSN called me back, I advised her of my BG before bed and in the morning. I also told her I had done one 3am check and correction as Claire had advised. Katrina was horrified and said this should never have been advised as corrections through the night can cause hypos.
These are two DSN's from the same hospital clinic, offering completely different advice.
I've now been advised to up my night time Levemir by 2 units - after being told last week that changing my Levemir was pointless as it WOULD NOT have any affect on the impact DP has on my BG levels....
I feel very confused and irritated by this back and forth routine and complete lack of consistency
