Do daily 16 hour fasts really improve insulin resistance ?

There was a fasting thread around a couple of weeks ago, maybe someone can do the techie slinky thingies for you @Pasha.

I fast once a week to give my system a rest. I don't want to use all my insulin!

I'm certain that it has benefits. That's as long as your body can cope with doing one and your liver doesn't dump similar to exercising or when waking.

I only eat once a day... So I guess that extended fasting?

16hr fasts would make me lose weight so would need less insulin but as soon as I would start eating again my bodyweight would increase with insulin controlling my bg levels as I digest food.
