Let us know mate! It's best knowing, then you can start the fight back!
Thanks for the replies i have noticed my eyes getting worse also had mild thrush a few times in the last year and feel lethargic.
I will update the thread once i have been back tomorrow.
just into the prediabetic numbers, you will get the good diet and exercise chat. take notice and you have a good chance of not getting diabetes.
!/3 will go on to diabetes
Andy. This is grey territory and my experience of the docs at diagnosis was awful and no help at all. I was told to eat low fat and go away.
Since reading up on it all, I'm convinced carbs are not the way forward. Since going low carb my BG is stable to non diabetic levels. If I eat so called healthy carbs, my BG rockets.
So just be careful if what advice you follow. I can't thank the guys on here enough for their support

Diagnosed prediabetic Easter 2014. Just left to get on with it, no guidance or help from GP. Every day I'm learning something new.
It sounds to me like your health is hanging on a shaky hook and you have been given a prime opportunity to take action now. If you can get your blood glucose levels down and stable now, your thrush symptoms and after meal tiredness will improve. These are known symptoms of diabetes. All the best.
What I did was to cut grain, grain product, potato and sugary stuff. You won't need to go that far, but you will need to carb count. And perhaps cut sugary stuff and processed grain (bread pasta etc) will be enough
A good idea is to get a ad codefree meter and strips off of amazon uk or similar
There is a list of foods on this linkThanks do you know if their is a list of the things i can eat that will help please.

If you stop bread, spuds, pasta and other starchy/sugary food now, your thrush will improve. Get a meter as Jack suggest and test to see how much of them, if any, you can tolerate. You have been given a great opportunity to avoid a full diagnosis so the sooner you can get started the better.
I eat bread with everything and love pasta / and any kind of cooked potato.
