Recently experiencing lows immediately after evening meals and spikes a several hours later. It started with meals such as spag Bol and roast dinners. I appreciate fatty foods can delay carbs release but I’m not convinced this is the cause. It appears my Novorapid works extra quick in the evening (yet not any other time of day)!? I used to inject 20mins before evening dinner and now I resort to injecting straight before. My lows after dinner can last a couple hours so I need to eat just to keep level over ‘4’ but it catches up with me several hours later when I’m asleep. I would really like to resolve the issue without the need to double dose before sleep (always dangerous) or until I feel the rise in middle of night to correct. sometimes I feel it may just be one of those things that Type 1’s experience due to my body changing. I’ve achieved excellent control for over 32yrs & I split dose my tresiba basal which works perfectly. Any suggestions welcome
