I’m a pasta lover (especially spaghetti) with T2. I was interested to read several posts that mentioned Dreamfields pasta so I looked up where I can buy it from. I was only directed to one place - Amazon. I’m stunned to see that it’s sold as a bulk buy of six boxes for £146!!!
REALLY? I can see it’s made in the USA but surely it’s available in this country for less than £24 odd for a 375 gram box?!

That’s mad! It doesn’t even seem to be low carb if that’s what you’re looking for. Personally I get my pasta from the Low Carb Food Co, still expensive but not as bad as Dreamfields!

We use black bean pasta (spag like stuff) from Aldi. It's organic and it looks and tastes a bit different, but with a strong pasta sauce it tastes fine and is cheap as well. Only 1.6gms of Carbs per100gms.
Last price was £1.79 for 200gms, but currently out of stock.

I tried the Dreamfields pasta many many years ago, it wasn’t any different to ordinary pasta & shot my BG through the roof and after reading reviews about it a lot of people were saying it was misleading and wasn’t really what it was saying it was.

Like @Rachox I’ve used the pasta from the LCF.Co but also the Explore Cuisine range, some are lower than others. The edamame spaghetti & the mung bean & edamame fettuccine are the lowest. You don’t need a lot as it’s extremely filling

I'm one of those who found that i can exist happily without pasta because it was the sauces and flavours I liked, not the bland pasta itself.
I have bolognaise made with meat and tomatoes but serve it on ribbons of green cabbage.
Lasagne uses cabbage leaves or slices of cheese instead of pasta sheets.
Carbonara is eggs bacon and cheese and cream eaten with a spoon !
Etc etc
Worth a try?

I have done similarly. I honestly don't miss the carby stuff at all - which I didn't expect to happen.

Pasta is something I miss unfortunately nothing quite matches the texture of a good homemade pasta, and carbonara being the main one - a real carbonara just doesn’t work with anything like courgette spaghetti and the konac noodle type things don’t agree with me.
