People who are diabetic seem to be a higher risk of Dupuytren's contracture, has anyone had symptoms which were successfully treated ?
I have been type 1 for 50 years and my first symptom of dupytrens started on my middle finger of my left hand 6 months after diagnosis..... i had my first operation in 1990 ( 18 years after diagnosis of type 1 ) and in the following 20 years i had 4 more surgeries on 4 other fingers.......it also appears that frozen shoulder can be connected and also carpal tunnel syndrome --- i had a release surgery 5 weeks ago on my right hand and a cortisone injection on my left....both are doing loads better and no pain since the op.Hi
