Hi

Sorry to hear (assume) you have an ear infection. Yes, not very nice - I've had a lifetime's worth along with complications etc. However, I've not been hospitalized for them

Are you in hospital because of raised blood glucose, brought on by ear infection? You haven't said what actually led to your admission.

Hi

I was admitted purely through the ear infection. The nurse I initially saw disdainfully said oh you're diabetic. Gave me otomize ear drops and sent me away. She said there was nothing else to treat it which after seeing a specialist ENT in hospital I was told the nurse gave me a useless spray - it was a good job I went back to the doctors the next morning as he saw just how serious the matter was and I was admitted straight away. I don't know what caused the ear infection - never had one like this in my whole life. My sugars are slowly coming under control. My hb1c was 97! It's now 63. I've a way to go yet.
