So Easter is over, who was naughty then ?

I wasn't  :angel with halo smiley:

I was quite good -- my mother did give me and my husband some delicious baked goods as well meals to take home. She took special care to make a "diabetic" meal for me, but also gave me something fatty which i ate when coming home and even in a small portion, knocked me out for 30 minutes in a nap. I think fat does not agree with me.

I have some Easter eggs which I will make a salad from. Are boiled eggs OK? She was very nice. My mother is wonderful.

I'm 23 but still get easter presents from my Mum and step-dad

My mum got me a dark chocolate easter egg because it's lower in sugar, but i still ate the lot

My step-dad got me a DVD and two tubs of sugar free jelly sweets (cherries and cola bottles yummm)

Easily covered with insulin for me and i didn't have bad spikes either, easter win

I can honestly say I didn't touch a DROP of chocolate last weekend.

BUT - I did go to a BBQ on Friday. I was naugty there.
AND - I didn't get out of bed until 8pm on Saturday (I was VERY naughty on Friday, you see - damned drinking games!). Then I bought a Pizza. Naughty again.
ALSO - We went to the beach on Sunday (W-s-M) and had Fish n' Chips. (My god, that Cod was good!)
THEN - I went out for a beer on Sunday night with the boys. Had chips n' kebab meat on the way home. Naughty boy.
AND FINALLY - Went over Mums for a another BBQ on Monday. Tried to be good - but she made garlic bread... I couldn't resist it, goddamnit!!!

I'm NEVER that bad. The combination of beautiful sunshine and time off work was my downfall. I have to hold my hands up and say I didn't even TRY to resist at any point, though...

But I honestly did NOT touch any sweets or chocolate the whole weekend!

Back on the wagon now. 2 days of ZERO carbs should do it! 8)

I was a really really good girl , chocolate and food wise, then ruined it all with lots of red wine on Sunday

Don't beat your self up too much - if you're gonna be naught, Red Wine is the least "naughtiest" way to do it.

Me and my cousin polished off a crate of stella and a bottle of Vodka, while our GF's drank wine.

Had BBQ with salad and rice and one third of my Chocolate Easter egg as afters. All was well until I could not resist a small doughnut. Still in single figures but at 9.6 mmol a little too high for my liking. Oh well, I'll put that in the book as a "one off never to be repeated special treat day". (hopefully!!)

Jess was very good. She had four little easter eggs which the easter bunny left hiding in the garden for her, she got some Littlest Pet Shop (LPS) toys which she's collecting and her grandparents gave her £5 to spend on whatever she wants which I know will be another LPS toy. The weather was so beautiful over the weekend, we had lots of BBQ's and she got to drink lots of diet coke which is a special treat.

Yep, I was naughty...my massage chap gave me a bag of mini eggs, and of course Tesco had buy 1 get 2 free on some Eggs.....didn't even get to Easter before they were all gone!!!!!(with hubby of course!!).

No bad BG's either...and of course the red wine on Easter Friday, Sat, Sun and Mon.....

Now looking forward to my birthday for our next 'escape'.......

Not one piece of chocolate passed my lips!

Nigel

Only a little bit naughty...my sister bought me some chocolate truffles which were VERY nice but so rich even I could only manage one or two at a time (and I can be something of a chocolate fiend...). At least it stopped me eating the whole bag in one go!
xx

I had a bad week in general last week, out Friday and got distracted by a pub (everytime I wanted to go I got talking another interesting person), out Saturday night as usual & on Sunday I got 1 egg (I'll always be mum's little boy I guess). But I still lost nearly 1lb when I weighed myself at the gym this week so I only just got away with it!

I have already confessed on another thread to being given and eating 2 cadburys cream eggs - and they were WONDERFUL.................

Nope didn't touch any chocolate, doesn't bother me.. Didn't drink as I don't drink

And just had normal meals, Les was working so didn't do anything special or have any BBQ's

I

I went for a good long walk and then had a little Lindt fondant egg (11g carbs). Very sensible n'est pas? Then later, for no apparent reason, I had two hot cross buns with lemon curd. Whoops. The sily thing is, they didn't even taste as good as they should have, because as I was eating them I was thinking about the damage they were doing. Did it stop me? Not at all. Lose lose situation that one.

Has anyone tried hypnotism?

Only 4 squares of 90% chocolate for me so a pretty normal weekend, and thankfully no one bought me an Easter egg so it wasnt hard to be good

The pizza was a good shout after all that booze Patch may just have saved you from going too low

]Who'd a thunk it, eh? Pizza CAN be a lifesaver!!!!

[EDIT: I'm gonna start carrying a card with my favourite pizza toppings listed on. At least then, if I ever DO get a hypo in public, they can bring me round with some pepperoni and sweetcorn... 8)
