Easter

The great fish and chip experiment took place on the Wednesday before Easter. Cod in batter, mushy peas and a very few chips appeared to have minimal effect on my BGs, but that may have had something to do with the red wine chasers!

I've confessed to the hand-made Belgian chocolates elsewhere . . .

Daredn't get weighed

Well i'm pleased I wasn't the only one.

My mum gave me 2 mini lindt dark chocolate with mint bars they wasn't 2 bad but the worse bit was she made a chocolate maltesser cheese cake and I just had to have some. It was ok tho, cause i made sure not to check my sugar so i wouldn't have to feel bad about it if i was high lol

I have fish n chips once a week with no adverse bg problems, as you say just watch the amount of chips. My wife and I usually have half a breaded place or cod fillet each with a few breaded scampi, peas and chips.

Of battered fish, two or three times a year we like to drive down to Hastings and have fish n chips from the Blue Dolphin, cant be beaten IMHO and again as long as I dont go silly with the chips, no problemo :D

If ever you come to Yorkshire let me know, and I'll point you in the direction of at least five chippies where the food is to die for! Not to mention the van that passes my door every Wednesday evening . . . I've been here a year and last Wednesday was the first time (smug smiley with halo!).
