Hi I have diffs in getting an erection, have tried Viagra, cialus and levitra. They all work but they all cause me to suffer from severe headaches, Can anyone suggest an alternative please.

You could see your GP for a trial of MUSE® (transurethral alprostadil).

Urethral application, alprostadil, net price 125-microgram single-use applicator = £9.89, 250-microgram single-use applicator = £11.30, 500-microgram single-use applicator = £11.30, 1-mg single-use applicator = £11.56 (all strengths also available in packs of 6 applicators)
Condoms no evidence of harm to latex condoms and diaphragms
Dose by direct urethral application, adult over 18 years, erectile dysfunction, initially 250 micrograms adjusted according to response (usual range 0.125–1 mg); max. 2 doses in 24 hours and 7 doses in 7 days)

Note During initiation of treatment MUSE® should be used under medical supervision; self-administration may only be undertaken after proper training

Aid to diagnosis, 500 micrograms as a single dose

Depressant drugs eg painkillers, sleeping pills, tranquilizers, also anti-depressants can cause this problem, stress is often a factor as well. I would research the cause of the problem first.

Hi weegee,

I don't know which part of the country you live, but here in Liverpool we have a Radio station ( City talk) which has a medical show on every Sunday evening at 2100hrs, and recently they had an expert in this kind of problem.
He said that when your prescribed Viagra, your GP should prescibe enough to take 1 tablet per day, fora month which will (or should) help restore normal service(as it were), i.e spontaneous erections etc. and reduce headaches, as you are not taking them to just have sex.

My husband is using some kind of indian genericas. You can get them very cheap in Britain, but its not Viagra. I think its call Cialis or something like this. Their are nearly no real side effects

I would go back to doctor then if no meds seem to be working. Perhaps it may be psychological ? Just a side note though, the headaches you suffer with the tablets can be helped if you drink a couple of glasses of water prior to swallowing or just after taking the tablet. Hope you can get things sorted soon.

on a lighter note... find the cause of the ED. Treat the cause not the symptom. for me it was loosing 140Lbs plus .. by getting divorced!

Seriously. check if its a physical problem or psychological most are the latter. I found by taking a smaller than recommended dose reduced the severity of the headache. I was prescribed 25mg so cut the pill in half ... still had the desired effect but headache (and loose bowel) reduced.

Regards
Nigel

or... you might want to ask your GP to give you a testosterone level blood test. If your levels are low, then you can get the testoterone gel or have testosterone therapy to boost up your levels if they are low.

I know this sounds a bit funny but I had that problem , took a pill , head felt like it was ready to burst ,and never got a good nights sleep , lol. so now I don't bother, at 70 I had enough any way ,lol
