Euro 2016 Football

The most important thing in all modern sport on the pitch is to gain any slight advantage you can, by hook or by crook.
They may be gentlemen off the pitch but there aren't any during the actual sport these days!
 
Not a bad draw for the Irish, good goal as well!

Looking forward to watching the next game, let's see what sort of tactics the team's play!

Who would have thought that the Italians would tactically outshine the favourites.
Another bad prediction for me.
Maybe the kick up the backside for the Belgians!

My shock nation Iceland held Portugal to a draw in their first ever Euro championships

So that's the first round of games over

I still expect them to win the group, which based on recent tournament form would be a huge shock

Thought they played exceptionally well against Russia. Never seen them play so well both individually and cohesively

Only saw the second half from the replay of our equaliser but what a half!! England players REALLY WANT this
 
Well what can i say my heart was in my mouth until England scored the 2nd and i was willing that clock to tick down. Talk about edge of seat stuff towards the end was agony. Well done England and now we just need a draw on Monday night Unless Wales beat Russia. Oh blimey both games are on at the same time Monday night 8pm now we need to keep the computer on and keep looking at the score from Wales v Russia. Come on England we can do it :D

Wasn't it just. Think it's a good job I've just started on additional meds for my high blood pressure. If I'd been on the 24 hour monitor it would've peaked a good couple of times that's for sure

Although you wouldn't know it from hearing her talk, Mrs hay-char is from Norn Iron (born in Derry). She is just a tiny bit pleased with the result of the Ukraine game - I'm not sure what the neighbours thought of her yelling "Yes! Yes! Yes!" at the top of her voice but I fear the worst .....

Daughter and son are also highly gratified at the result: not sure what we're going to do as a family if England and NI end up meeting later in the tournament :D
