Hi Guys,
I don't know where else to go or what to do. I had just two wheat chapati and dal in dinner and 20 min walk, my blood sugar after 2 hours is 132.I am reading on various sites that for non diabetic sugar level drops below 100 after 2 hour. I only had 4 egg white omelette in afternoon.
I have not told anyone about the this health issue I am facing.
I can't tell my family, they would get very worried. Btw I have dropped lot of weight but still not much help.
Is anyone here who is successful to not get diabetes from per diabetic level ?
Sorry guys for being repeative. It's just that I have only this forum to get some advice.

Wheat is not good for us.

Can I point you to the Headbangers kitchen website. He has a recipe that might suit you better for Indian breads.

If you are eating with family, they should be told because you need to eat different things. It's your decision at the end of the day

Sorry, I should have added, yes lots of people who were pre-diabetic have got their numbers down to normal levels with changing diet and lifestyle.

Keep coming to the forum for chatting, support or just have a rant, we are here for you.

Your level of 132 (7.3mmol/l) is only to be expected after your dinner, and is not drastically high considering what you ate. It is not at all unusual for non-diabetics to see levels that high, and even higher, after eating a carb laden meal.

These are the UK guidelines
https://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/blood-sugar-level-ranges.html

You will have to use the converter to change them to your mg/dl units
https://www.diabetes.co.uk/blood-sugar-converter.html

I make 132mg/dl equivalent to 7.3mmol/l (the units we use in the UK)

If you look at https://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/blood-sugar-level-ranges.html for target ranges, this is within the target for someone without diabetes 90 minutes after eating.

It is worthwhile, considering the numbers on that page and keeping your numbers in context as not "extremely worrying".
Most people, regardless of diabetes, will see rises of their BG when they eat.

I mean staying to pre diabetic level and not getting in diabetic range.
I am already trying low carb. Sometimes I eat normal food.

I'm a T2 diabetic, and I got my levels down to non-diabetic levels... I'll always be a T2, but you don't have to be. So yes, it is possible on low carb/high fat. Even for people way farther gone than you are right now. (Don't worry so much... You're doing fine!)

Update.
After 4 hours my BS is 101. It is still not dropping below 100.

Hi @JoKalsbeek
Thank you for the comment. Can you please share your diet details and if any exercise you follow.
That would be greatly helpful.

Well, no I stay alone. I myself feel quite horrible for it. I overate for 4 years straight because people used to tell me how thin I was, I really abused food. I gradually swelled up and then that overeating lead me here.I was thinking if I could just eat as I used to way back , may be I could reverse it. Hoping that I am still not diabetic and just pre stage . I am majorly disappointed that it's not happening, even if I am eating less blood sugar is not going back as it used to be. I know it's my fault but I am trying everything I can.

I’d say that was absolutely fine. It’s 5.6 which is normal. . I often have a week of higher readings in 7s (130s) but Hba1c is around 36. I wouldn’t worry at all.....or have I misunderstood?

Yes it's 5.61, But is it not a problem that blood sugar is not dropping below 100 or 99. I am reading on various sites that that it should.

if your blood sugars are used to being higher, it can take time for them to go back down consistently. How high was it before you ate?

I follow a ketogenic diet, (Less than 20 grams of carbs a day) but you don't have to go that far. Just low carb, high fat would be fine, basically cutting back on or scratching entirely: bread (including chapati's), potatoes, rice, corn, pasta/noodles and fruit, save for berries, avocado, tomatoes and starfruit.... Upping the fats some to keep feeling full and getting nutrients you need. Dietdoctor.com has loads of meal ideas, and reading The Diabetes Code by Dr. Jason Fung might be helpful. I don't get out much, but I do a lot of walking over the weekends, usually carrying camera gear. So slow and steady. ;)

This is highest. Previously it was 126 mg/dl.
Before meal my glucose was 96, I measured this after 3 hours of having 4 egg whites in butter. I didn't take any meal before.
I have not been diagnosed as prediabetic yet.my a1c I measured on Nov 25 2018 was 5.0, but fasting was 103. I got a1c of 6.1, but fasting was 94 in Feb(2018). After that I started with low carb for 15 days did strict let, then low carb and lost 10 kg. I started at 67.5, today I measured it was 54.6kg.
I just don't know what else I can do. I am only 28.

I’m very happy with 5s or 6s as I was told stay under 8. Everyone is different. With a very low carb diet I reduced my Hba1c from 112 to 36 in 3 months. I regularly go into 8s and rarely into 4s. Last week it was 6 and 7s but better this week. Get the mySugr app as if you test often it gives an average which is helpful, although not accurate but at least you know roughly where you are. Have a read around the forum for foods to avoid but it sounds like you are being too hard on yourself.
