Hi all,
I'm still waiting to find out what type I am, so far 3 weeks! But nurse believes more likely T2 as Amaryl is reducing levels to around 8ish had a couple of good days when readings averaged 6 (started off at 27.8) But...... I fell off my sweet/sugar free diet spectacularly by wolfing down 4 Empire Biscuits, for those outside Scotland they are two pieces of shortbread, with jam in middle, icing on top etc etc. The readings haven't gone totally off the scale (13.8 ) but feel worse for doing it as it was murder to go cold turkey in the first place!
Just wanted to ask if apart from feeling like a klutz for doing it are "sugar binges" dangerous in the long/short term?
Any advice/kick up **** would be helpful!
Chris
