Make sure skin is really clean, I use a medi wipe, place on back of arm, try not to place into muscle, I’ve tried a few covers found tegaderm to be the best (around £3 on Amazon for 10)@DEBBIESCOTT my free trial Libre2 sensors have arrived. Any hints or tips to get get the most out of them, to avoid them coming off early etc.?
Hey @DEBBIESCOTT .. waiting for the covers to arrive today. Looking forward to seeing what is going on my FBGs are very high for me these days, that's despite getting plenty of exercise and having a good diet. Body comp is very good, so let's see what's going on.@ACG_68 have you tried the sensor yet?

If the body perceives itself under attack due to bacterial or viral infection (even if mistaking pollen for a pathogen) a cascade of effects goes into play producing immune system responses like production of cortisol, histamines, antibodies, increase in body temp and the mobilisation of white blood cells etc. histamines and cortisol are stress hormones and cause inflammation and trigger other hormones to release glucose from the liver to help fight off the perceived infection. Not everyone gets a huge response in term of blood glucose elevation but some do.I didn't know hay fever could cause high BGs. Can you tell me any more about that? Fuzzy head that turned into a migraine after my work out so hence the eating carbs. Not too bad but I don't generally eat bread.
Good luck with the spinal stenosis surgery. 45 min walk with the dogs is great going! Especially with all the pain from the stenosis. Good luck getting the blood sugars down. You can do it, post what you eat every day to help keep you on track. You might also be surprised how reducing blood glucose levels can ease some of the inflammation and pain and get you a bit more mobile as well. Go for it!I have spinal stenosis and waiting for an operation. I cant wait until I can do more activitiesOnly managing 45 minutes walk a day with the dogs and at the moment it takes me 5-10 minutes to stand up straight after sitting. I have to get my hba1c below 69 before they can proceed. When they tested it in February it was 97 that made me really depressed and tearful. But I’ve kicked myself up the proverbial and on VLCHF and extra medication. I’m envious reading about all your exercises
