Carbsane was slaughtered in the comments accompanying that interview as well...

Really? Did you or those who commented to the podcasts actually listen to either? In his (Taubes) interview he really doesnt answer one of the accusations made by Carbsane, he just fluffs around saying things like, and I quote "I dont have time to engage with them" he says that twice talking about those people like Carbsane who have shown him for what he is.

He goes on to talk about the book Metabolic Regulation by Keith Frayn who he quotes, well misquotes actually and then admits that he didnt even study the subject but phoned several people up and wrote what they told him  In fact the Frayn misquotes have been subsequently removed from further re prints of Taubes book, according to him, ha, caught red handed making bits up to fit his incorrect theories perhaps?

He then says, talking about Carbsane that "instead of pointing out all the things that are obviously right and that I agree with Frayn about, all shes interested in is pointing out the few things that I disagree with Frayn". What she actually did was point out all the quotes from Frayn that Frayn had never written or implied.

Thanks to Carbsane and others who took the time to follow Taubes references and actually check them, we know know that his theories are incorrect and that he made false claims about his references. Very scientific - not!

Still if you along with borofergie and others want to continue to believe his false claims that is up to you but having listened to both Carbsanes interview and Taubes supposed rebuttal I know who I will be believing, yes the one who actually did the research, Carbsane.

And that adds what to the discussion? Easier to try to ridicule me than to add anything useful to the discussion?

I'm not ridiculing you. I'm saying that there is no point in having a discussion about a book that you have not read.

It's a bit like me saying that "I fundamentally disagree with Islam" based on the customer reviews of the Koran on Amazon.com. If I wrote something like that, you'd rightly condemn my opinion as absurb.

You tried to simirlarly libel Steve Phinney based on the comments in a weight-lifting shock blog.

If you care so much, why don't you just read the book? Form your own opinions rather than spouting someone else's secondhand.

A quick flick through carbsane's blog suggests a quasi religious fundamentalist with an axe to grind. S'he (there appears to be several of them) could make the sky pink with green spots and point you to references to 'prove' it.

Carb((In)Sane has some nerve promoting eat less and move more since, by her own admission, using this system at 5'2" she has not gone below 200 lb. in the PAST THREE YEARS!

Hah !
