Fatty Liver

I feel confident for you @Liam1955 . I bet you see a huge imorovement over the next 6mths. I'm wishing you very good healing and recovery from those strong drugs. I'm excited for you as you will see the true affect these tablet have had on you.

None diabetics get fatty liver too. My mum. Although @Liam1955 is reminding me she also takes tablets for pain and high blood pressure. So drugs may be causing my mum's too?

Hi Liam, I know that feeling. Your a fighter and you will get it right when you sort out the best action for your condition. Best wishes Derek

@lindisfel - Thanks for that Derek.
Also to have my Bloods and LFT done every month for next 3 months and will be seen in early January 2017 in Hepatology Clinic. Began the Milk Thistle 4 weeks ago - so hoping it is now starting to have some effect?

I had abnormal liver readings a few years ago. The Dr asked about my alcohol intake and I said I had no idea when I'd last had alcohol, a long time ago. Months later my husband was talking to a vet pal and they were talking about vitamins etc. The vet said that people (me) take glucosamine for joint pain and that it could cause high liver readings. I stopped taking it and my liver readings came down. My sister took it too, with the same bad results.

remember to drink a lot of Water , enough Water like 2 liters a day... and avoid alcohol totally meanwhile

I'm trying to substitute anything like pork and beef fat with olive oil, coconut, other lower the cholesterol oils.
That will help cholesterol ratios but digested fat doesn't cause fatty liver. Doing lchf proved that. For me.
Even specialist said carbs cause fatty liver. Fruit carbs too!
Tablets seem to be agitant and long term use, in some, are causing cirrhosis. Fatty liver can turn into cirrhosis even with NAFLD.

Dr Unwin I think talks about low carb good fats, one can only try what works for them. We certainly would not consume transfats or even Omega 6 oils in any quantity.

Sounds like a bad idea. You should read "The Great Cholesterol Con" by Dr Malcolm Kendrick.

I think Malcolm Kendrick has some odd ideas he doesn't believe what one eats causes heart disease!
I go with Dr.Kraft who says hyperinsulinemia causes heart disease and hypertension in many.

I believe hypertension causes heart problems. Pressure in the vessels to a pump would mechanically cause a problem so why not for a heart.

Omega 6 oils , doesn´t everybody get that everyday ... but mostly in too huge amounts ?

And what causes high blood pressure? Derek TE="ickihun, post: 1299779, member: 196960"]I believe hypertension causes heart problems. Pressure in the vessels to a pump would mechanically cause a problem so why not for a heart.[/QUOTE]
