For 6 years i have been neglecting my diabetes/in denial/suffering depression..trying for a few days to get on top of it then feeling overwhelmed giving up and spiraling quickly to bad control again..the vicious circle continued..

But having spent the last 2 years in counselling dealing with depression stemming from infertility I feel I'm making progress. I'm finally seeing progress in my numbers. My fbg has gone from the high teens to 6-8. My average bg has gone from 14 to 7. I've lost 7lb.

This forum has been a vital lifeline to me. I don't comment much as I'm still finding my confidence but I have read loads.

Just began reading think like a pancreas and actually feeling like I can control this disease instead of it controlling me! Just wanted to share my joy today and thank you all

Congratulations and very well done, only look forward and don't look back.Good luck.

Hey well done @samantha13 Doesn't it feel good to control the beast ? Keeping those numbers in range is good for your mind as well as well your body, it's all about getting the right mindset, good for you :)

@Juicyj it's amazing how the high numbers effect mental health as well as the physical! So much easier to feel on top of my 'other issues' when my numbers are good!

Thank you so much @yingtong

@mist oh I completely agree that full moon is a time to hide especially when you work in a dementia unit lol

@samantha13 . Well done. Happy that you are feeling so good, keep on posting, your inspiration will prove contagious.:)
