Type 2 Feeling nauseous and tired.

Hmm are you managing to still eat fruit and keep to 100g of carbs per day or is the fruit "extra".
For me at your early stage that would have been too many carbs and it looks like for you it may be too.
But it is still early days so keep on monitoring and testing and you'll see what you should and shouldn't be eating.

Sorry I don’t understand. managing to still eat fruit and keep to 100g of carbs per day or is the fruit "extra".

Fruit has fructose in it, fructose is a sugar and all sugars are carbohydrates. I would advise that you cut out all fruit for a few weeks to improve your blood glucose levels. You could then test a little fruit to see how are react to it.

We are all on a learning curve and it can be confusing at first.

The only carb-free foods are fish, flesh, fowl and fat. And among the fish, even sardines contain a few carbs. You might find this site useful:

Don't worry, we have all had our "duh!!!" moments while learning about diabetes and low carb.

They are bad too... below ground veg can be quite high carb too.. you really have to start checking food labels (on the back not the stupid traffic light things) then you'll soon get a handle on the carb content of foods.
Supermarket websites are also a great source of info. I try to only buy stuff with less than 5% carb (5g per 100g) others find that 10% is ok.

I'd suggest going through all the foods you eat - and using either the packaging or a search engine to discover the carb content - there can be variation, and you need to be aware that US sites will include the fibre, but the UK information is net carbs, the digestible ones.
I tend to limit my carb intake to an absolute max of 50 gm, and many days eat even less - but I want to have normal readings and that is my limit.
I tend to stick to foods which are 10 percent carbs or less as they seem to enable me to keep my BG stable.
Fruits are limited to berries, except blueberries which are the highest carb of all the things called berries.

Hi again. As you have some excess weight it is less likely you are T1 with the danger of having high BS and possibly ketones (due to fat burning). I would ensure you have a low carb diet. Yes, Gliclazide can cause hypos so the dose needs to kept as low as possible consistent with doing the job. The key for the GP is what your HBa1C measure is. Once you are over 7% in old money, the GP ought to be taking further action.

My HBAIC was 104 which is 15.9 in old money.
