First Hba1c since diagnosis -shocked!!

I was diagnosed just over three months ago with an Hba1c of 115. I went very low carb straight away and finally had the results of my first Hba1c. It was 36!!! 115 to 36 in three months and no meds! I’m astonished. I am so pleased and all whilst maintaining my weight give or take a couple of lbs, that in itself is a challenge in low carb! (MySugr app was predicting 39 but I thought that was too good to be true).

Thank you to everyone for their help and support. This really is a fantastic and knowledgeable group. Can’t wait to have a chat with my GP, although he may still be in shock. Xx

I was floating on air all the way home after getting 91 to 47 - your result is very impressive - but my doctor has been sulking ever since, so not all of them are thrilled to find that standard knowledge about diabetes is not gospel.
