On computers, the one thing that really annoys, are these flashing, images, most of them can be scrolled away, but on these forums, there are a lot of cute ? little animals, owned by someone posting a question..... can they be stopped I hate them ?
 
Probably not! You could always look away or even find another site to denigrate. :ras:

Speak to admin, there may be a way of turning them off as some people who have epilepsy can have a type that is triggered by flashing images, my nephew suffers this type but I can't remember what it is called :roll: I know he disables them on sites he uses.

To be able to contact using PMs you need to have made 5 posts, hopefully they can sort it out , I am sure it can be done
 
Found it for you - go to user control panel - tap on board preferences - the bottom box of the three says something like display preferences - there you can switch things on and off til your hearts content :D

If you follow these steps you will be able to turn off all movement on your screen. The small smileys and other images that constantly move are called animated GIF's a GIF is an image file that can be made to include several frames or files that make a simple animation.

Log into your account and go to "User Control Panel" there click on "Board Preferences" and finally "Edit Display Options" then click "No" to the options I have highlighted below, the other options should not cause you any problems:


Display Smilies as Images. - TURN OFF THIS ONE The smilies I have used in this post are not animated but some are.
Display Signatures - TURN OFF THIS ONE as some people have animated GIFS in their signatures _ Like Hobs :D
Display Avatars - TURN OFF THIS ONE These are the small images next to users names and are often animated.

This is what the page looks like and you can see the buttons to turn off at the top of the page.

If you dont like the look of the forum after you have altered it you can easily follow the same steps and turn things back on again.

Hello .

Look at the very top of the page .
In red at the bottom left hand side - it is clearly highlighted .
User Control Panel .

Click onto this and it will automatically take you inside this .
You will then see everything in blue/grey to get access to .
Click onto Board Preferences then left hand side column - gives you options menu .
Click onto 'display options' and choose what you wish to turn off then .

Any more help needed - just pop back here .
