Forum going slow?

Hi all!

Anyone else having problems with the speed of the forum over the last cuople of days? It seems to be very very slow on occasions - just about unusable. Or is it something at my end?

it is not the forum: it is the server it is sitting on that is running slow...May be maintenance...or not enough bandwidth
 
Yep its slow and not delivering well ...
Will let admin know and see if they can sort it ?

Hi folks. We're well aware of the issues that are being experienced with regards to the loading speed of the forum. We're doing what we can to ensure that this is fixed very soon. Apologies on behalf of DCUK for the inconvenience this has caused.
 
I've just joined and the site is virtually unusable. It keeps locking up.

Just got this too:

No, seriously..this is happening far too often and too regularly, are the elusive admin even noticing these posts because if they are they don't acknowledge them!
It tooks so long to get onto the forum homepage this morning that it was timed out, pages loading were really slow and I'm talking minutes not seconds. I appreciate it is a free resource and a business not a charity but come on guys, people will just give up in the end. We have tons of different sections spread across the forum, maybe incorporate a small section somehwere to raise any technical issues we have with the forum? Hopefully that way they won't get overlooked/ignored.
 
I'm not sure what could be causing this - I can access the site just fine, are you sure there's nothing wrong on your end?

If I had been the only one to notice it Giverney I would have said that was a possibility but as you can see from the preceding posts and also the link that I gave where I raised this issue in August it looks like I'm not alone.

I have only just signed back in and it seems to be working fine now but there is definitely a problem from time to time.
 
This morning was awful, very very slow to the point I gave up, now it's ok, happens every day for me. This is a forum database/server issue.
